I think it’s more of “take the blame” czar.
What Jose said.
I thought it was Commander- Guy-in-Chief now?
I agree it’s a fall guy post.
But the question is will it get us out of Iraq any quicker?
The Joint Chiefs and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs are not part of the Chain of Command. The Commander in Chief is an incompetent who doesn’t trust his DecDef and needs a scapegoat.
Does that sum it up
You forgot the National Security Adviser.
Agree with the yahoos this time (no more bureaucracy, please!) -except Klyde. Have no idea where his brain is.
You also forgot the commander of Central Command, who’s actually, by law, in charge of all military operations in the entire middle east-central asia region. Oh, and he’s a 4-star officer, while this new ‘War Czar’ wears only 3. Also, he reports directly to the SecDef, and doesn’t really have to take orders from anyone except Gates and Bush. Make sense outta that, I dare ya…
404, legion, 404.
My brain has made an illegal operation and must shut down.
