Katrina’s Hidden Race War
The many tragedies of the 2005 atlantic hurricane season have been seared into our collective consciousness. However, even after Spike Lee's brilliant film "When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts", some aspects of the story are only now making themselves felt. According to a report in the Nation covered by Democracy Now, a group of white vigilantees in the neighbourhood of algiers point shot at least 11 african american men, some fatally.
