Haven’t these people suffered enough?

Michigan’s high unemployment is no laughing matter, but Jay Leno will offer a little comic relief with a free show next month at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

The NBC “Tonight Show” host said on Monday’s show the April 7 performance will be for “anybody out of work in Detroit.”

People only have to say they’re unemployed to get tickets.

Refreshments and parking also will be free when “Jay’s Comedy Stimulus Plan” comes to the home of the NBA’s Detroit Pistons.

Oh, shut up already. He’s at least moderately amusing for 30 minutes a night, five nights a week. Let’s see you do as much.

Besides, what can you do that’s even remotely comparable? Blog for free to amuse the unemployed?

    Oops.

  2. Oliver, I love ya, but I have to go with Mr. Hooper. Even you have admitted that in his time before doing the Tonite Show, Leno could be funny. This seems like a nice thing to do.

Wow, seeing Jay Leno for free? That’s something I’ve only been able to do five nights a week for the last sixteen years.
