Nice try, Dr. Maddow.
Powell is a professional propagandist, and apparently a pretty skilled one.
Next time, please ask the good General if it was he or someone with the same name and rank whose job it was to try to deny and cover up some of the atrocities committed by the US troops in Viet Nam; and was it he who also later provided disinformation, misinformation or false information in testimony to the world regarding the necessity of our war on Iraq, and if so, what has changed about Mr. Powell since then, that we should believe any word that he says now?
A decent follow-up might be–”Can you think of any reason why you, Mr. Powell–along with the other so-called principals, should not be brought up on charges relating to having committed war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan?”
I’d love to know his responses…regards,,,John
