The legendary progressive historian and author of 'A People's History of the United States' Howard Zinn has sadly passed away today. Zinn was a true voice for the poor, and a thorn in the side of American economic and military imperialism. His work will live on forever, and will continue to lay the intellectual foundation of intelligent dissent and true progressive idealism.

He will be greatly missed.
