In our second podcast on Zimbabwe, we speak again with Sub Saharan African specialist Nana Ampofo from Global Insight on Robert Mugabe's victory over the MDC party last weekend.
Ampofo had this to say about the widely discredited election, where Mugabe reportedly received 85% of the vote: "The process has been marred by this wide spread violence....there are very few people outside of the Zimbabwe electoral commission that say this is an acceptable expression of a democratic process."
"If this stands up, he [Mugabe] would have the Presidency for the next 5 years."
