Something to brighten your morning. Olbermann slams O'Reilly for about 5 minutes. Included in all that glory is the pearl of wisdom: Bill O'Reilly sucks. Enjoy!
Keith Olbermann's 'Special Comments' used to be a rarity, but given the tenor of McCain's campaign, Olbermann has increased the frequency. Mindful of over doing it, Olbermann points this out before delivering a withering assessment of Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann's divisive comments about 'Real Americans', promising to return to the regular irregular schedule. Still, this weeks 'Special Comment' has lost none of its potency.
Sarah Palin has been doing the rounds accusing Obama of being friendly with terrorists, but her own husband is part of a radically anti American secessionist movement (in Republican logic, therefore a terrorist). Here is Olbermann, skewering Palin for her blatant hypocrisy:
This is perhaps Keith Olbermann's most vicious verbal assault on President Bush to date. A vitriolic Olbermann lays into Bush's continual refusal to take responsibility for Iraq, and slams him for insulting the troops with his comments about 'giving up golf out of respect for the families'.
It is not exactly clear why Bush continues to make public appearances and speeches. Even Republicans do not take him seriously any more, and he would be best advised to play with his dog while competent people attempt to clean up the awful mess he has made. Watch Keith Olbermann completely dismantle Bush's astonishingly stupid and inaccurate speech on the state of the U.S economy:
In his warped mind, people who do business with Iran are somehow helping kill American troops in Iraq, says Bill O'Reilly. Keith Olbermann sets him straight:
We're a big fan of Keith Olbermann here at 'The Daily Banter', as he is represents a breed of journalist rarely seen in the mainstream media. Here he is delivering another one of his fantastic 'Special Comments' on the Bush Administration's brazen lies over Iranian nuclear capabilities. Olbermann does not mince his words:
Having repeated the lie that Congress pushed Bush into an early war vote on Iraq, Karl Rove was confronted by Congressman Chris Van Hollen on Fox News about his atrocious lies. Amazingly, Rove repeats the lie again!:
To further dissect this nonsense, watch Keith Olbermann and Arianna Huffington rip him to pieces:
The appearance of Naomi Klein on 'Count Down' with Keith Olbermann last night was a major victory for serious Left. It was the first time Klein has appeared in the mainstream news to talk about her book 'The Shock Doctrine- The rise of Disaster Capitalism'. Although Keith Olbermann is pretty liberal, MSNBC is part and parcel of the corporate media, and the introduction of the term 'Disaster Capitalism' is symbolic of a possible shift in mainstream ideology. The U.S occupation of Iraq has destroyed the country in part due to an attempted corporate take over, a fact never mentioned in the mainstream news. Klein documents this in her book meticulously, but has only been discussed in leftist circles.
And if you haven't bought the book, do so. It is perhaps the most analysis of global economics in the past 10 years.
